Rembrandt cartoning machines

Square Cartons
Rembrandt has opted to use the unique cam-rack indexing system ensuring precise rectangular positioning of the carton which guarantees accurate product infeed and correct closing of the cartons. The use of cams rather than chain carriers results in perfectly square cartons.

Carton Quality
The cam system makes it possible for the basic construction of the machine to be very open. The machine can handle a wide range of cardboard types, from duplex to 3mm corrugated cardboard. As in all cases, but especially when using high quality printed material, the key requirement is to avoid damage. Rembrandt prepare the cams in such a way that even gloss-printed cartons can be handled without problem.
Size Range
When working at maximum width, the cam-rack system leaves a space of only 40mm between cartons in the machine. The height of the cam is adjusted to the height of the cartons to be handled. These machine features are fundamental to the machine’s ability to handle a wide range of carton sizes, see table. For the packaging of smaller products with a high output, our range includes a compactmachine with a mechanical drive.

Capacity
The main factors in choosing a drive is the output required compared with cost. The servo drive gives maximum capacity; the pneumatic drive is the least expensive option. The mechanical step drive is the standard installation and is a compromise between maximum capacity and minimum cost. The basic machine’s capacity depends very much on the product to be packed.

Loading Type - Vertical (top) or horizontal (end) loading.
Intermittent, or fitted with a synchronisation unit for continuous operation. For example, in one particular version of our cartoning machines, the cartons are opened and then transported step by step. They are then filled manually and finally closed by the machine. Virtually everything is possible! With our machine you can handle practically every type of product with the exception of pre-packed liquids. For end (horizontal) loading applications, Rembrandt design the product formation stages and infeed system to the customer’s specifications, making use of proven technologies wherever possible. Top (vertical) loading systems are manufactured in partnership with specialised companies, and the specified filling equipment is integrated to form a complete packaging system.
